Daniel Larson’s Denver International Airport Arrest Incident

On January 9, 2024, Daniel Larson was arrested at Denver International Airport due to multiple outstanding warrants. This arrest incident followed a series of events involving a confrontation with airport security and a series of videos documenting the incident.

Daniel’s Arrest

The main incident began with a video Daniel Larson uploaded to his YouTube channel on January 9, 2024. In the video, he is seen yelling at an airport employee who insisted that he needed documentation to excuse his trespass. Daniel posted this video twice under different titles, claiming that he was being threatened and harassed by hotel security at the airport.

Pre-livestream Events

On January 10, 2024, presumably after being released from custody, Daniel posted videos that appear to take place just before the livestream of his arrest. In these videos, an officer questioned Daniel about his presence at the airport without a boarding pass. Despite Daniel’s explanations that he was there for banking purposes, the officer insisted on verifying his story and called for additional airport officers.

The Livestream

At approximately 4:00 PM MST on January 9, 2024, Daniel livestreamed from a chapel inside the airport. He claimed to have acquired a debit card and appeared to be using the chapel as a shelter. During the livestream, Daniel repeatedly offered to leave but mentioned he was on probation, prompting the police officer to notify his probation officer.

Throughout the livestream, Daniel maintained that he had been waiting for a bus to downtown Denver and accused a man sitting across from him of being drunk and calling the police. The officer advised airport security to trespass Daniel, but ultimately, no charges were pressed. The livestream ended with Daniel being asked to stand up, at which point he turned off his phone.

After ending the livestream, Daniel was arrested due to two outstanding warrants: one for Failure To Appear (FTA) in court and another related to the destruction of private property. He was scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on January 23, 2024, and was released on a personal recognizance bond.

Daniel’s Side of the Story

On January 11, Daniel briefly explained his perspective, confirming his arrest. He claimed that airport security harassed him for not having a plane ticket when he was merely visiting the airport’s bank. He reiterated that he was waiting for the bus back to Denver and maintained that a drunk man had called the police on him. Daniel stated that when the police arrived, he requested their supervisor but was told it wasn’t possible. He also mentioned that this incident caused him to miss all his probation meetings in multiple counties, including Jefferson County.

This incident at Denver International Airport adds to the ongoing complexities of Daniel Larson’s interactions with law enforcement and highlights his continuous struggle with legal issues and misunderstandings.
