Move to Colorado
In 2010, at the age of 11, Daniel Larson was relocated to Colorado by his mother, Elisabeth, after she separated from his father, who viewed Daniel as a “lost cause.” The move was influenced by Colorado’s reputedly better mental and physical health support compared to California. This decision was driven by Daniel’s severe mental health problems and Elisabeth’s need for better support after becoming wheelchair-bound from years of battling lupus.
Mental Health Challenges
From a young age, Daniel displayed severe signs of disabilities such as autism, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, as confirmed by his mother. There is speculation that both of his parents might have mental health challenges, although their specific conditions are unclear.
“I’m Danny’s mom and yes we have moved here for the services. He doesn’t just have autism; he has severe bipolar and schizophrenia. He has beaten me and my mom… he has lied and has fantasies about so many things. He does not want to listen to authority… he is not famous but wants to believe he is. He does what he wants, and if you don’t let him, he gets violent. If you want more information, contact me.”
