Daniel attended Sobesky Academy during highschool from 2016 onward and successfully graduated in 2017.
According to a Reddit AMA conducted by a former schoolmate, user u/FlyingFoxandwings, Sobesky Academy had a small student body, and students were generally respectful and understanding of each other’s issues. Contrary to some rumors, Daniel was not bullied at school because most students had similar challenges and were empathetic towards one another.

From the AMA, it was revealed that many students at Sobesky Academy had severe mental health issues similar to Daniel’s. The school aimed to rehabilitate students and help them achieve academic success, but Daniel’s severe mental health challenges made this particularly difficult. She also dispelled rumors of Daniel being violent at school. While he did have some incidents of self-harm, he was generally reserved and did not cause much trouble. However, he did occasionally trigger “close and lock” situations, where the school would go into lockdown due to unruly behavior. The former schoolmate also mentioned that Daniel had poor hygiene and some unusual habits, such as picking his nose with his tongue, which he still does today. Despite these habits, Daniel seemed relatively normal compared to his current behavior.
