Daniel’s 2020 Presidential Campaign Announcement

On July 14, 2020, Daniel Larson officially announced his intention to run for President of the United States. This surprising declaration was part of his broader ambition to influence public policy and advocate for “world peace and unity”. His announcement was made on his newly created Twitter account, @DanielL85968118. Daniel’s campaign was driven by his desire to bring change and address issues he felt were critical to the nation.

Unfortunately the original tweet was either lost to time, or the original post date got mixed up. This is the first remaining tweet mentioning presidency by Daniel, which was posted by him on July 15th:

Daniel followed this vague tweet up with a more “detailed” announcement on July 16th, there is a chance that this may be the original tweet which later got misdated to July 14th (this is just speculation, there is no definitive proof for this theory):

Daniel’s presidential campaign was met with a mix of amusement and concern from his followers and the general public. His platform included a wide array of unconventional ideas, and he frequently used his social media accounts to promote his candidacy. Despite the improbability of his campaign, Daniel’s announcement underscored his grandiose delusions and his desire for recognition and validation. His slogan, “Care, Empathize, Elect Larson” (or “CEEL”), became a theme of his campaign, aiming to resonate with voters on a personal and emotional level.

The response to Daniel’s campaign varied widely. Some saw it as a humorous and entertaining spectacle, while others were genuinely concerned about his mental health and the potential dangers of his delusions of grandeur. Daniel’s political aspirations did not end with the 2020 campaign. Signs pointed towards another run in 2024, driven by continuous encouragement from his online interactions. Whether serious or part of an ongoing performance influenced by trolls, Daniel’s political ambitions remained a recurring theme in his public persona.
